The Jackson family closed the gates of Neverland and eliminated it as a venue for Michael Jackson's Funeral. They have decided to hold Michael's Memorial on Tuesday 7th July 2009 at the Los Angeles Staples Centre. The service will be held between 10.00am and noon.
The Staples Centre can house up to 20,000 people. 11,000 tickets priced at $25 a piece have been made available to plans. This will be seen as an "event" rather than an all day opportunity for a viewing!
Michael's body will be buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetry on Hollywood Hills. A spokesman issued the following statement to stave of further rumours:-
“Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland.”
