Ok Magazine Michael Jackson Cover Picture

The latest edition of OK magazine shows a picture of Michael Jackson lying on a stretcher. The cover page photo is reported to have cost $500,000.

This is bound to cause controversy amongst the King of Pop's fans and supporters. Many will want to remember Jackson for the great entertainer he his and was. His family who appear to emotionally wrecked by current events, cannot be to happy to see their son, brother and father sprawled all over the front cover of a magazine!

The OK website is quoted as saying, "OK! remembers Michael Jackson, from his childhood beginnings in the Jackson 5 to his final moments!" I say draw your own conclusions!

Editorial director at OK, Sarah Ivens added that she thought the dying Jackson photo would differentiate OK from the other magazines running tribute issues this week!

“It’s a photo that captures the surprise and the upset and the moment of this breaking news story. I hope the cover will provoke readers. It celebrated the man, but it also does expose that he was an eccentric character who lived a very controversial life.”

A petition has been started to "Stop Michael Jackson Death Photo". One signer had the following to say:-

"It’s about time that people stopped buying OK! and advertisers dropped it from their schedules. A tribute? Give me a break. It’s sick.”

The media circus is set to continue, which seems to just cause more anguish for Jackson's family, friends and fans!
